Facilitating world class platform for African Teas
The Mombasa Tea Auction is the largest black CTC tea auction in the world and the central marketplace for East African teas. Held twice weekly and managed by the East Africa Tea Trade Association (EATTA), it brings together producers, brokers, buyers from across the region.
The East African Tea Trade Association is a voluntary organization bringing together Tea Producers, Buyers (Exporters), Brokers, Tea Packers and Warehouses, all working to promote the best interests of the Tea Trade in Africa. Currently, membership comprises over three hundred companies extending across the East and Central African borders. EATTA is mandated to promote and facilitate the interests of all the stakeholders in the tea trade in Africa by creating an enabling business environment geared towards maintaining global standards and delivering tea products to the customers in the most profitable way.

The Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture, Hon. Sen. Mutahi Kagwe, today officially unveiled the Orthodox Tea Auction at the Mombasa Tea Trade Centre.

A New Chapter Begins:
Sale of Orthodox Tea at the Mombasa Tea Auction commences on 24th September 2025.
Visit to EATTA offices by the Senate Standing Committee On Trade Industrialization And Tourism. The purpose of the visit was for the Committee to appraise themselves on the role, challenges, legislative interventions required, and key projects of the Association. EATTA appreciates the senators for the opportunity to air challenges affecting the tea sector that require government intervention.
